A former capital of Poland miraculously spared from the ravages of war, Krakow remains a citadel of Polish culture and antiquity. Located on the Vistula River, Krakow is considered one of the finest medieval cities in Europe.

ITINERARY by BOCASTRAVEL
1st day
Arrival in Krakow in the late afternoon, accommodation, dinner in the hotel.

Krakow 2nd day
A full-day tour about the town with a guide. You will be shown the center of the Old Town Rynek Glowny, where the Sukienice (Cloth Hall) still stands, a relic of Poland´s medieval guilts and today a busy arcade. In one corner of the square you will visit St.Mary´s Church boasting two uneven steeples as well as a fine carved altar inside. Here you can hear trumpeters signal noon from the spire. Also on the Market Square is the Old Town Hall Tower, whose summit offers a fine view of the city. In the Kasimierz quarter, a short distance from the Old Town, are the remains of the Medieval Jewish Ghetto with several synagogues and museums. Krakow is also the seat of famous Jagello University founded in 1364. After lunch you will visit the Wawel Castle - the former seat of Polish kings. The castle was founded in the 12th century. Today it houses a collection of tapestries, royal treasury and armory.
Evening at leisure.

3th day
Today those who wish may go for the most moving trip to the dirty industrial town of Oswieczim, remembered in history as Auschwitz. The extermination concentration camp in which million of Jews perished in gas chambers during the World War II has been rebuilt as a national memorial.
On the way back you will see the famous salt mines Wieliczka with a unique underground salt lake and magnificent St.King Chapel which lies 101m deep. Return to the hotel.
Farewell dinner in a local popular restaurant.

4th day
Transfer to the airport in Warsaw (3 hours driving) or departure to another chosen destination according to your scheduled program.
